Competition Rules

Parking is free; registration payment will generate a receipt that you will use for gate entry.

No one may compete unless in appropriate Highland dress, including Kilt. EXCEPTION: Novice Practice Chanter/Drum Pad are not required to be in Highland dress.

Competitors must be ready when called to compete or they may be disqualified.

Solo Order of Play will be sent out prior to the event and posted at the Piping Registration Tent. Check in at the Piping Tent to get your competitor number, and with the Steward before your event. Be ready when called to compete.

Band draws will be sent out to band representatives prior to the event and posted at the Piping Registration Tent.

Band Travel Allowance is as follows.
-
First 3 bands traveling between 50 and 99 miles - $125
-
First 3 bands registered and traveling between 100 and 199 miles - $250
-
First 3 bands registered and traveling over 200 miles $350.

Travel allowances are determined by date of registration. Bands must participate in Opening Ceremonies/Massed Bands at 12:15 pm on Saturday and Closing Ceremonies around 2 pm on Sunday to receive travel pay.

Decisions of the Judges and Stewards are final. The Competition Committee reserves the right to alter or cancel any event.

The solo competition events are sanctioned through the EUSPBA. The Rules of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association will be the guiding authority to conduct Piping, Drumming and Band events. All quartet and band events are not sanctioned but the Rules of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association will be used as a guide. The Contest Committee reserves the right to disqualify any competitor guilty of misconduct.

Emergency Services Competition (EUSPBA sanctioned Public Performance Band competition)
This event will follow the rules and regulations of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association.

Brad and Rena Douglas
The Douglass Family has supported the Texoma Community through their former ownership of Douglass Distributing. They continue to support the community through their philanthropic efforts.
In 1947 Humble Oil (later known as Exxon) established a railroad bulk plant in Sherman and Gainesville, Texas. On July 1, 1981 Bill Douglass bought this Exxon consignee in Sherman, Texas, including the local Exxon Transport Division, Exxon Tank Wagon Division, Exxon Lubricants Division, and Tires, Batteries & Accessories (TBA) Division. The resulting company was named Douglass Distributing.
The company now offers fuel, DEF, diesel, oil, lubricants, and propane throughout North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.
