  • Every vendor must provide a description of the product(s) they intend to sell. If a product description is not provided, you will not be approved.

  • We strive to provide our visitors with a "Celtic" experience. We require that all vendors offer some Celtic themed merchandise in their booths.  It is not required that ALL stock is Celtic themed.

  • It would be a bonus if you can offer a "Festival Special" that has a Celtic theme.  Vendors who provide significant offerings of Celtic themed products will receive preference over those who don't.

  • Set-Up is on FRIDAY ONLY, no exceptions unless approved by Vendor Coordinator.

  • You are responsible for bringing your own tent, table, chairs etc. The SCFHG does not provide any of these items.

  • You are responsible for your own setup and tear down; we do not offer volunteers to help you. Please have enough workers to facilitate a quick setup and tear down.

  • Electricity will NOT be provided. Self-provided generators must be preapproved with the Vendor Coordinator and must be quiet enough as to not interfere with neighboring vendors or nearby music/competition areas. Noise pollution will not be tolerated.

  • There will be no parking available on the festival field. Vendors will be required to park in the designated remote parking lots.

  • When unloading and loading your vehicle on the festival grounds, please drive cautiously and do not damage landscaping, grass, or other venue property. We currently use a city-owned, public park for our festival and there is a sprinkler system and sprinkler heads all throughout the grassy areas. DO NOT drive on the grassy areas. Violators will be removed from the festival and you will be responsible for repairs to any park features, such as sprinkler heads, light wires, etc..

  • Once the festival has opened to the public, and the parking lot is filled with pedestrian traffic, vehicles will not be allowed in or out without special permission AND festival staff escort. Check with the main gate to coordinate an escort.

  • Because of Health Dept. regulations, you may not sell food or give away food samples at your tent without a Health Permit. Even with a health permit, if you plan on offering anything more than a sample of your food product, you must also apply as a food vendor.

  • You are not allowed to bring any ALCOHOL in or out of the festival grounds. You can purchase pints at our beer booths and consume it within the grounds if you are of age.

  • Please drink responsibly.

  • You may not leave your children (under age 13) unattended at your tent.

  • You can leave your tent up overnight at the venue on Friday and Saturday night.

  • Security (commissioned law enforcement officers) will be provided All 3 days (Fri, Sat & Sun) and overnight on Friday and Saturday nights, however, please take with you anything of high value or anything that cannot be replaced. SCFHG is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items.

  • The venue does not allow for vendor camping and/or overnight RV parking.  For those with RVs, Lazy L RV Park is located at 310 W. Wilson Street (Sherman) which is only 5.1 miles south of the festival grounds.

  • The festival closes on Sunday, March 21st at 5pm. You may begin to tear down at that time. NO vehicles will be allowed on the festival grounds until 5:30pm to allow pedestrian traffic to clear the park.  Early tear-down and leaving the festival early will result in non-approval the following year.

  • Please make sure all trash is removed from your booth and placed in the dumpsters. All boxes MUST be broken down before placed in the dumpsters or they will fill to capacity too quickly.

SHORTBREAD RULES:

In our Shortbread Competition, we have 2 categories, Traditional and Gourmet. Traditional Shortbread is the simple buttery, crumbly, basic, butter, sugar, flour cookie that we all know and love.

Gourmet Shortbread is the creative twist on the shortbread, taking the basic recipe and adding spices, glazes, and other bits and add-ins to make something very, very tasty. (Gourmet will also be judged on innovation)

Please bring your submissions no later than 10am on Saturday. Judging will take place at 11am and winners will be announced from Main Stage at 2pm.

Submissions will be judged based on appearance, texture, and flavor. Please have 3 full size pieces of shortbread to present to the judges (one for each judge about 2 to 4 bites for each portion)

There will also be a People’s Choice award. Please have 100 – 150 bite size pieces (1/2 inch), precut and ready to serve to the Festival Attendees.

SCONES RULES:

In our Scones Competition, we have 2 categories, Traditional and Gourmet.

Traditional is similar to what Americans know as a biscuit but it is more dense and crumbly and often paired with jam.

Gourmet Scones are a little more adventurous, sometimes even savory. The range of add-ins is limitless, from chocolate, fruit or other sweets to non-traditional add-ins like cheeses, meats, veggies, or nuts for a savory twist. (Gourmet will also be judged on innovation)

Please bring your submissions no later than 10:30 am on Sunday. Judging will take place at 11:30 am and winners will be announced from Main Stage at 2pm.

Submissions will be judged based on appearance, texture, and flavor. Please have 3 full scones to present to the judges (one for each judge about 2 to 4 bites for each portion)
